During quarantine, most people have a lot more time on their hands. Becuase of this people can spend all day doing nothing. Books are very fun to read and can inspire imagination. Books are sometimes informitive, sometimes silly, and sometimes hard to stop reading. Let me show you 10 books/series that can help you get through quarentine.

  1. Harry Potter

    2. Harry Potter is a 'magical' book by J.K. Rowling series about a young orphan named Harry Potter and the ever looming danger at Hogwarts. It is astonishing and definitly a recommended read.

  2. The first Percy Jackson

    3. Percy Jackson is a twelve year old sixth grader at the series and sent to Camp Half Blood where he faces dangerous problems such as a traitor in their midst, mechanical bulls, a poisoned tree, and a prophecy forteeling the downfall of Olympus. It is an amazing series so I definitly recomend it.

  3. Projekt 1065

    4. Writen by Allen Gratz, it is about an Irish boy in Berlin with a terrible secert. He and his parents are spies for the Allied forces. Micheal, the Irish boy, has found the plans for a Nazi jetplane to wipe out the Allies once and for all. Interesting, intriquing, and impossible to put down.

  4. Rise of Kyoshi

    5. Rise of Kyohsi takes place in the world of Avatar the Last Aribender, not to be confused with the movie with the blue people. Kyoshi is a past character in the world of the Avatar and this prequal tells you her story. Awsome, surprising, and near impossible to predict what will happen next.

  5. Shadow Children

    6. In a world hit by famine, the government has made any body born after two older siblings, illeagal. Luke Garner is one of them. He's never left his home, never been seen, never talked to another person except his brothers, mother and father, until one day, he gathers the courage to meet another third child. Amazing and interesting.

  6. Prisoner B-3087

    7. Taking place during the Holocaust, young Yanek Gruener is a Jewish boy in Poland. In the book he is put through the terrors of the Nazi's. Based off the true story of Jack Gruener, Holocaust survior. Impossible to put down.

  7. Allies

    8. D-Day is here. Dee, a young boy that looks like he's playing soldier, Samira, an Arab French young girl fighting with the Maquis, the French resistence, Henry, a black young adult working as a medic on the Allied forces, and more children and young adults all fighting the Nazi terror as allies. Austonishing and austounding.

  8. Grenade

    9. Grenade is about a yound American soldier and an even younger boy from Okinawa. The book is amazing at descibing the battle and it feels so real.

  9. Book Thief

    10. Book Theif is about a young girl named Leisel Meminger under the care of her foster parents on Himmel Street. She has a love for literature and the book gives a good inside look of a child in Nazi Germany.

  10. Series of Unfortunate Events

    11. Series of Unfortunate Events is about three young ophans taken in by a sinister guardian. Writen by an unknown author that has taken the name of Lemony Snicket. Amazing series and I highly recomend it. VFD?

Grinding on Games

In lockdown, most people pick up a new hobby, a book, or they resort to gaming. People dont know what to get into to start, so here are some of the best games for beginner gamers.

  1. Minecraft

    2. We all know the classic game, from the memes to the people you meet on there, minecraft is a game for all. You can freshen up on your aim with bow mechanics, or just live a peaceful lifestyle.

    3. For the casual gamers who love Minecraft, Animal crossing is just as good. You can visit your friends islands, find new villagers to take home, and pay back the crippling debt you have from Tom Nook

    4. Overwatch is an team based, ability fps game that relies on many different skills to be good at, but can be a lot of fun playing casually

    5. Call of Duty is one of the most renound games in the gaming industry. It has so many different options of what to play, you can never get bored.

Social Distancing Shows

Now that everyone is stuck at home, we have more time to try new things, chill out, play games, and watch more tv shows. Down below are two amazings shows that is guaranteed to get you on the edge of your seat.

  1. Stranger Things

    2. Most people know what Stranger Things is. If you do, you can just go on and skip this part of the section. After the mysterious disapperance of a young boy, the people of a small town in Indiana begin to uncover many unusual secrets of their town including secret government experiments, supernatural forces, and an unusual little girl.

    3. Chopped is your classic reality-based cooking game show. It was created by Michael Krupat, Dave Noll, Linda Lea, and is hosted by Ted Allen. Four chefs face each other and compete for a chance to win $10,000.
